Charlotte Wirl, is a MD and a psychotherapist. In her work, she focuses on hypnosis and hypnotherapy, on the interdependence between psychotherapy (especially hypnotherapy) and medicine, and on story-telling and metaphors as important therapeutic means. She works in private practice, as lecturer in national and international curricula of hypnosis and hypnotherapy (for adults and children), as a supervisor, and has worked as a M.D. (at schools). She organized seminars, workshops, entire curricula in psychotherapy, congresses in Austria (e.g. co-organizer of the 3. World Congress for Psychotherapy in Vienna). She presents her work at international conferences and in print (journal articles, book chapters). She is a founding member of the Milton Erickson Society for Clinical Hypnosis and Brief Therapy, Austria (MEGA), was its former (long time) president, is currently its honorary president, and is honorary member of the Milton Erickson Society Germany and the Milton Erickson Society Austra.
